While searching around the interwebs for E46 valve cover gasket torque specs, I couldn’t find something that’s really easy to read, so I found a good source that you can use as the main Torque Specs Cheat Sheet.
I think this will come in handy for a lot of you BWM DIYer’s doing an E46 valve cover or E46 valve cover gasket replacement and you just need the correct bolt torque and bolt sequence specs.
I also found this resource on the Bentley Publishers wiki for BMW 3 Series (E46) Service Manual – 1999-2005 (B305), their recommend tightening torque for cylinder head cover to cylinder head bolts to be 10 Nm (89 in-lb)

There are total 11 bolts with washers and grommets at cover perimeter, and 4 bolts/studs with washers and grommets at cover center (10mm socket 3/8” / 3/8” ratchet & extension)
